• Conduct thorough assessments through interviews and standardized tools to identify the needs and treatment goals of individuals facing substance use disorders.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
• Provide one-on-one counseling sessions, offering supportive guidance and coping strategies to foster recovery.
• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions aimed at creating a safe space for individuals to share experiences and learn from each other.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and addiction specialists, to deliver integrated treatment plans.
• Respond effectively to crises, providing immediate intervention to individuals experiencing acute symptoms or substance-related emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families on the nature of addiction, effective recovery strategies, and available community resources to ensure ongoing support.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with ethical guidelines and legal standards.
• Participate proactively in team discussions, case reviews, and professional training sessions, contributing insights from your area of expertise.
• Stay informed about advancements in addiction treatment methodologies through ongoing education and professional development.

Your work will primarily focus on individuals struggling with substance use disorders, guiding them through various stages of recovery. Many of our patients may deal with co-occurring mental health issues, necessitating a holistic approach to treatment. Working closely with patients and their families, you will foster a supportive environment that encourages open communication and proactive involvement in their recovery journey.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
• Comprehensive understanding of substance use disorders and the methodologies of evidence-based treatment.
• Proven experience in delivering therapeutic services, particularly within the context of addiction treatment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with a strong foundation in empathy and a non-judgmental approach.
• Capacity to uphold professional boundaries and adhere to ethical standards, ensuring patient confidentiality.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with standard office software applications.
• A collaborative mindset, eager to work as part of a larger healthcare team dedicated to effective patient outcomes.

• A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in a mental health counseling setting, preferably related to substance use disorders.
• Experience with group therapy facilitation and crisis intervention strategies.
