This role is conducted entirely via telehealth, which necessitates proficiency in utilizing digital communication tools and electronic health record (EHR) systems. As a remote counselor, you will connect with clients through video calls, phone consultations, and online messaging, providing the flexibility needed to accommodate their schedules. • Conduct comprehensive assessments during initial consultations to evaluate clients' mental health status, identifying areas that require immediate attention and longer-term intervention.
• Develop and implement personalized therapy plans that incorporate the latest evidence-based treatment methodologies, focusing on individual client goals and challenges.
• Facilitate regular therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based practices, to promote client engagement and growth.
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients, providing tools and resources to empower them in managing their mental health, including homework assignments and coping strategies.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care providers, to ensure comprehensive support for clients with complex needs.

This position involves working with a diverse clientele facing a variety of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, substance abuse, trauma, and eating disorders. The successful candidate will demonstrate cultural competence and a genuine understanding of the unique factors that affect mental health among different demographics. This role also provides the opportunity to analyze broader societal influences on mental health, making adaptability and empathy essential attributes in this position.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license (LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW) to practice in the state of California.
• A minimum of four years of professional experience in mental health counseling, with a strong foundation in clinical practice.
• Proven expertise in delivering both individual and group therapy in a culturally sensitive manner.
• Exceptional crisis intervention skills and a calm demeanor in stressful or challenging situations.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building trust and rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.

• Experience working in telehealth or remote counseling is highly preferred, as well as familiarity with EHR software and digital communication platforms.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing community outreach programs or initiatives that promote mental health education and awareness.

The salary range for this position is competitive and falls between USD 70,000 and 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
