What You'll Do:
• Teach assigned ROV operations and technology courses or modules for the full scheduled class period.
• Deliver engaging instruction aligned with approved course and master syllabi.
• Prepare and distribute syllabi, assignments, assessments, grading criteria, and classroom policies before each course begins.
• Maintain accurate attendance, progress, evaluation, and grade records in accordance with College deadlines.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback and respond to student questions within established division guidelines.
• Advise and mentor students on academic progress, retention, and career readiness; refer students needing additional support to advising or counseling services.
• Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, supervisors, and program staff.
• Support an inclusive, respectful, and accessible learning environment that complies with College policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and applicable legal requirements.
• Participate in required professional development, trainings, meetings, and College activities.
• Contribute ideas that support department and College goals.
• Represent the College professionally and follow all College, LCTC, accreditation, and applicable industry requirements.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
• An associate degree from an accredited college or university in the discipline; or
• An associate degree combined with relevant professional experience and required industry certifications; or
• At least 10 years of professional experience at or above the highest level of skill being taught.
• Experience with ROV operations and/or related technologies.
• Experience developing technical training or instructional content.
• Strong instructional, communication, organizational, and computer skills.
• A student-centered approach to teaching and mentoring.
• C-Innovation Skills and Knowledge Assessment Certificate.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Teaching or training experience in ROV operations, technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience teaching at the college, high school, or industry level.
