Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Century Road Counseling Center, a leading outpatient practice in Irving, Texas. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals facing mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. As a valued member of our clinical team, you will conduct assessments and develop tailored treatment plans to support clients in achieving their mental health goals.

About the Organization

Century Road Counseling Center is dedicated to providing specialized mental health services and fostering an environment of growth and healing. Our practice is known for its commitment to a diverse clientele, offering a wide range of evidence-based treatment modalities. We emphasize a collaborative approach to care, working alongside psychiatrists and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for our clients. Our mission is to promote mental well-being in the community through high-quality therapeutic services.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, offering you the flexibility to manage your work-life balance effectively. You will be part of a supportive and collaborative environment that values teamwork and professional development. Our team regularly engages in case consultations and team meetings to enhance clinical skills and stay informed about best practices in mental health treatment. This setting encourages open communication and shared knowledge among colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the symptoms and severity of mood disorders in clients, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews.
  • Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs, goals, and preferences, ensuring a person-centered approach.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting techniques to fit various client circumstances.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to facilitate lasting wellness.
  • Monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, gathering feedback and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
  • Work closely with psychiatrists and medical professionals to coordinate care effectively, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive treatment that includes pharmacological support when needed.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development activities, including attending workshops and conferences to further enhance your skills and knowledge in treating mood disorders.
  • Serve as an advocate for clients, challenging the stigma associated with mental health and promoting the importance of seeking treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on clients experiencing various mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and may face unique challenges related to their mental health. By understanding their individual experiences and tailoring your approach, you will help clients navigate their mental health journeys effectively.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution. Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas is also required. Candidates should demonstrate a strong foundation in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly for mood disorders, and possess excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience

While not required, candidates with prior experience working with mood disorders and a track record of successful treatment outcomes are preferred. Familiarity with psychopharmacology and collaboration with psychiatric professionals can enhance your effectiveness in this role. Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic techniques will be considered advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and eligible dependents.
