Position Overview

Millennia Counseling and Treatment Centre is seeking a committed and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic team in Atlanta, Georgia. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while providing critical support to clients striving to regain and maintain their independence in daily life. Work Environment

This role is primarily remote, allowing you to connect with clients in a flexible setting while engaging in meaningful therapy sessions. You will initially work under the direction of the Assistant Director, who will provide guidance and mentorship as you navigate client care and treatment planning. While our primary focus is on virtual interactions, you may occasionally participate in meetings or team-building events at our outpatient office located in Atlanta, Georgia.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will be expected to:

  • Conduct initial assessments to meet with clients, discussing their goals, preferences, and available treatment options before developing individualized rehabilitation plans.
  • Create and modify rehabilitation plans based on clients' education levels, physical abilities, and future employment goals, ensuring plans evolve as care progresses.
  • Collaborate closely with a diverse team of medical professionals to design and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs tailored to meet clients' specific needs.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed case files, including personal client information, eligibility, insurance coverage, services provided, and progress notes.
  • Monitor and document client progress regularly to ensure treatment goals are being met, making necessary adjustments to enhance efficacy.
  • Engage with clients throughout job training and occupational placement programs, serving as a point of contact to resolve any issues that arise.
  • Work with clients' families and support networks to ensure that needs are addressed effectively and that clients receive holistic support.
  • Create timely documentation of client needs and treatment progress, providing relevant reports as required.
  • Facilitate referrals to appropriate resources and services, ensuring that clients have access to the care they need.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily involves working with clients who experience mental health challenges, including mood disorders and other psychological conditions. You will likely encounter a diverse range of individuals, each bringing unique needs and circumstances. Your expertise will be crucial in providing effective, empathetic, and tailored support.

Qualifications
  • Educational Background: A Master's Degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or marriage and family therapy is required.
