This remote position allows you to work from anywhere, while still being part of a supportive team that emphasizes collaboration and communication. You will engage in regular virtual meetings, participate in team-based approaches to treatment, and utilize telehealth platforms to deliver therapeutic services effectively. • Conduct individual, couples, and family therapy sessions to help clients address emotional and relational challenges, leveraging teletherapy options as needed.
• Perform thorough assessments to evaluate clients’ relational dynamics and emotional struggles, collaboratively creating personalized treatment plans that align with both mental health and rehabilitation objectives.
• Apply family systems theory and various therapeutic techniques to enhance communication, conflict resolution, and coping strategies among clients and their families.
• Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and physicians to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care that promotes alignment of therapeutic goals.
• Provide immediate support during critical phases of rehabilitation, utilizing evidence-based crisis intervention strategies as circumstances arise.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential records, including client progress notes and treatment plans, in compliance with all relevant legal and ethical standards.
• Educate clients and their families on the emotional aspects of recovery, emphasizing coping mechanisms, resilience strategies, and ways to strengthen familial ties.
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities, staying informed about advancements in marriage and family therapy and rehabilitation practices to provide the best care possible.

Your work as an LMFT will focus on a diverse and dynamic client population, including individuals recovering from substance use disorders, trauma, mental health challenges, and relational difficulties. You will work closely with clients spanning different ages and backgrounds, offering them much-needed support in reclaiming their lives and enhancing their interpersonal relationships during and after their recovery journey.

• A current license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California or willingness to obtain licensure.
• A Master’s degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster trust and understanding with clients and their families.
• Dedication to ethical treatment practices and maintaining client confidentiality at all times.

• Previous experience working in a rehabilitation setting or with clients in recovery is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
