This position is an opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals in our community while enjoying the flexibility of a telehealth work setting.

About the Organization

Carter Mental and Behavioral Healthcare is a leading community mental health center located in Glendale, Arizona, dedicated to making mental health care accessible to diverse populations. With a commitment to quality care, we strive to empower individuals and families by delivering tailored therapeutic interventions that promote emotional well-being. Our team is composed of skilled professionals who share a common goal: to enhance mental health awareness and provide a supportive environment for healing and growth.

Work Environment

This role is primarily remote, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions via telehealth platforms, thus providing flexibility in your work schedule while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. You will be part of a collaborative and inclusive team that emphasizes communication, shared knowledge, and a deep understanding of the diverse backgrounds of our clients. Weekly team meetings and ongoing training sessions will keep you connected with your colleagues, ensuring you remain supported and engaged.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs, creating personalized treatment plans that align with their specific goals and circumstances.
  • Provide evidence-based therapy services utilizing a range of modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and family therapy, tailored to address individual, group, and family dynamics.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including case managers, psychiatrists, and social workers, facilitating a holistic approach to client care that fosters improved outcomes.
  • Respond to crisis situations with competence and compassion, providing immediate support and intervention for clients in acute distress.
  • Engage in community outreach initiatives aimed at raising mental health awareness and reducing stigma, thereby promoting an understanding of mental health issues in the broader community.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to serve a diverse clientele, including individuals from various ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Our commitment to cultural competence underpins your approach to therapy, helping you to build trust and effective therapeutic relationships. By working closely with clients facing unique challenges, your role directly contributes to improving their mental health outcomes and overall quality of life.

Qualifications
  • Possess an independent and active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Hold a master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, facilitating rapport with clients while also embracing a culturally sensitive approach to therapy.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills, ensuring that documentation and session notes are timely and accurate.
  • Have a commitment to continual learning and professional development in the field of mental health.
Preferred Experience

Experience in community mental health settings is preferred, as well as a background in providing therapy through telehealth platforms. Familiarity with diverse therapeutic methods and a proactive attitude toward learning new treatment techniques will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and credentials. We offer comprehensive health insurance, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as paid time off and holidays that encourage a healthy work-life balance. Additional benefits include professional liability insurance, access to ongoing training and development opportunities, and a supportive team environment that values your contributions.
