What is a remote nurse risk management?

Remote nurse risk managers are registered nurses who work offsite, using digital tools and telecommunication to assess, monitor, and mitigate risks in healthcare settings. They review patient care processes, analyze incident reports, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance. By working remotely, they help identify potential risks and implement strategies to reduce errors, improve quality of care, and prevent legal or financial liabilities for healthcare organizations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote nurse risk management professional?

To thrive as a Remote Nurse Risk Management professional, you need a strong background in clinical nursing, risk assessment, and healthcare compliance, usually supported by an active RN license and experience in risk management. Familiarity with incident reporting systems, risk analysis software, and electronic health records (EHRs) is often required, along with certifications such as CPHRM (Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management). Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication are essential soft skills for evaluating risks and collaborating with cross-functional teams. These skills are crucial to proactively identify and mitigate patient safety risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote quality care in a remote setting.

How does a remote nurse risk management professional typically collaborate with other healthcare professionals while working offsite?

Remote nurse risk managers regularly collaborate with physicians, case managers, and administrative staff through secure digital platforms such as video conferencing, electronic health records, and messaging systems. They often participate in virtual meetings to discuss patient safety concerns, review incident reports, and help develop protocols to mitigate risk. Effective communication and organization are essential, as remote collaboration requires proactive follow-up and clear documentation to ensure all stakeholders are aligned on risk management strategies.

Job description

Solutions Architect, Commercial

Location: United States, based in the Midwest or West Coast of the United States to support regional commercial enterprise efforts

Work Environment: Remote

Role Summary:

We are looking for a Solutions Architect to partner closely with our Commercial Go-To-Market team. This is not a role focused on running standard demos. Instead,ย it'sย about helping shape deals, guiding customers through complex risk challenges, and owning the technical approach that supports successful enterprise sales.ย

You'llย work directly with sales leaders and customer executives to connectย Exiger'sย capabilities to the problems they care about most, making it clear how our platform helps them reduce risk and make better decisions.ย

We are looking for collaborative, team players who are passionate about our mission to make the world a safer place to do business. Exiger's Client Solutions team is at the centre of the most important work we do at Exiger in support of that mission, and you will work with the global Client Solutions team, alongside working day-in day-out with assigned sales team members in your region. You will also interact with Exiger's Product and Innovation teams to provide input based on client and market feedback for consideration into our future platform product roadmap.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead Solution Design: Work with the Commercial Go-To-Market team to shape howย Exiger'sย 1Exiger solution is positioned and applied to solve complex risk and compliance challenges for enterprise customers.ย
  • Own the Technical Win: Lead customer discussions and working sessions to understand priorities, highlight value, define what success looks like, and alignย Exiger'sย capabilities to those outcomes.ย
  • Be a Trusted Partner: Build credibility with both business and technical stakeholders by keeping conversations focused on risk, impact, and results.ย
  • Support Complex Sales: Help guide multi-stakeholder sales efforts involving Procurement, Compliance, Legal, Security, and Supply Chain teams.ย
  • Share Market Insight: Provide feedback to Product and Innovation teams based on whatย you'reย seeing and hearing from customers.ย

What You Need:ย

  • Experience: 8+ years in customer facing technical roles such as Solutions Architecture, Sales Engineering, or Technical Consulting, supporting enterprise sales efforts.
  • Commercial Perspective: A strong understanding of how enterprise software is sold, with experience working alongside sales teams and engaging directly with client executives. You should be comfortable influencing dealsย not just presenting features.
  • Domain Knowledge: Background in supply chain risk management (SCRM), third-party risk (TPRM), or cyber-related risk is strongly preferred.
  • Technical Understanding: Able to discuss architecture, integrations, and data concepts at a high levelย and explain them in plain terms. Youย don'tย need to write code, but you should be comfortable talking with technical teams.
  • Communication Skills: Comfortable adapting your message forย senior executives as well as technical audiences.ย

Why You'll Love Working at Exiger:

  • High-performance culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence.
  • Discretionary Time Off for all employees, with no maximum limits on time offย
  • Industry leading health, vision, and dental benefits
  • Competitive compensation packageย
  • 16 weeks of fully paid parental leaveย
  • Flexible, hybrid approach to working from home and in the office where applicable
  • Focus on wellness and employee health through stipends and dedicated wellness programmingย
  • Purposeful career development programs with reimbursement provided for educational certifications
