This is a full-time remote position based in the beautiful city of Renton, Washington. • Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students, integrating their personal history, presenting problems, and educational impact into a holistic evaluation.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans in partnership with students, focusing on tangible mental health objectives, emotional growth, and successful reintegration into the learning environment.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused therapy, to effectively address a wide spectrum of mental health issues, ensuring best practices in care delivery.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that promote emotional regulation, personal development, and essential coping mechanisms tailored to various student needs.
• Engage in collaborative care coordination with psychiatrists, psychologists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners to create a consistent approach to mental health treatment.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support, utilizing de-escalation techniques and making timely referrals for more intensive care when necessary.
• Deliver psychoeducational workshops for students and families, equipping them with knowledge about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and case records.
• Participate in regular multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development sessions to enhance personal knowledge while contributing to team success.
• Stay updated on relevant legal, ethical regulations, and best practices within school mental health services to ensure compliance and excellence in care.

This role primarily focuses on supporting school-aged children and adolescents, addressing their unique mental health challenges that can hinder their academic success and personal development. • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid LICSW licensure in the state of Washington.
• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, preferably in educational or mental health settings.
• Solid understanding of mental health disorders, alongside evidence-based treatment practices and trauma-informed care principles.
• Experience in conducting mental health assessments, diagnosing conditions, and developing appropriate treatment plans.
• Ability to provide effective individual and group therapy sessions, employing eclectic therapeutic techniques.
• Proven crisis intervention skills with the capacity to remain composed in high-stress scenarios.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering trust and rapport with students and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong judgment, decisiveness, and a commitment to professional ethics and boundaries.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficient computer skills.

• Experience working within a school environment, providing mental health services directly to students.
• Specialized training or certification in trauma-informed care or cultural competence in mental health.
