Comprising more than 130 personnel, the Integrated Warfare Systems Group (IWSG) delivers expertise across program and project management, acquisition and contracting, systems and digital engineering, software development, test and evaluation, sustainment and lifecycle management, cybersecurity, international/Foreign Military Sales, strategic communications, and IT services. These capabilities support more than 100 Above Water Sensor, Undersea, and Combat System programs and projects within the Navy's Portfolio Acquisition Executive for Mission Systems, Maritime and Munitions, as well as clients at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, and the Office of Naval Research. #

The SPA IWS Group office is located at 20 M Street in Southeast DC, conveniently down the street from our clients at the Washington Navy Yard; however, this position is expected to be a fully remote work position with no projected travel. #KS

Responsibilities

SPA is seeking a dedicated senior-level Cost Analyst with an active DoD Secret clearance to provide part-time support to the US Navy's Portfolio Acquisition Executive for Mission Systems. ย You will join a high performing team and be expected to possess and enhance a good understanding of military cost estimating processes and practices as well as DoD, Department of the Navy, Naval Sea Systems Command instructions and processes. ย Specifically, you will provide cost analyst / cost estimating guidance, training, and mentoring to other less experienced SPA Cost Analysts / Cost Estimators in support of a radar program as well as guide the contractor cost estimating team in formulating cost estimates for equipment, systems, associated software, and logistics costs. You must have ability to understand and communicate effectively with technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and program management across all levels of government and industry.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of relevant cost estimating experience
  • Possess or meet eligibility for DOD Secret security clearance and be able to maintain it throughout employment
