A Remote Node.js job involves working as a backend developer using Node.js while operating from a remote location instead of an office. Responsibilities typically include building and maintaining server-side applications, integrating APIs, and optimizing performance for web applications. Remote Node.js developers collaborate with teams using communication and project management tools to ensure smooth workflow. These roles offer flexibility but require strong self-discipline and time management skills.
To thrive as a Remote Nodejs developer, you need strong proficiency in JavaScript, expertise with Node.js frameworks, and experience building scalable back-end applications. Familiarity with tools like Git, Docker, REST APIs, and optionally cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, is commonly required, as well as relevant certifications in JavaScript or Node.js development. Strong communication, self-motivation, and time management are essential soft skills for effective remote collaboration. These skills are crucial for delivering high-quality code, collaborating with distributed teams, and maintaining productivity in a remote work environment.
A Remote Nodejs developer's daily responsibilities usually include writing and maintaining server-side code, integrating third-party APIs, and troubleshooting performance issues. You’ll often participate in virtual scrum meetings, collaborate with front-end developers, and review code through tools like GitHub or GitLab. Effective communication via chat and video calls is vital to stay aligned with project goals and team updates. Additionally, you may be involved in deploying applications to cloud platforms and working with DevOps teams to ensure smooth delivery and scaling. This mix of coding, collaboration, and continuous learning makes each day dynamic and engaging.

About the Role
Regal is seeking a Backend Engineer to help build and maintain the systems that power our consumer-facing digital products, ticketing, ordering, loyalty, payments, and mobile experiences used by millions of moviegoers across the country.
This is a backend-focused role. You will spend the majority of your time designing and building APIs, services, and data systems in .NET and C#. You won't be expected to own the front end, but you will collaborate closely with front-end engineers and should be comfortable contributing to a React or Next.js codebase when the work calls for it.
You'll join a team that is actively modernizing its engineering culture, moving toward full-stack collaboration, shared ownership, and a more deliberate engineering practice. This isn't a siloed specialist role. You'll be expected to communicate openly, work across disciplines, and care about what you ship. This opportunity is open to Remote US candidates.
