• Conduct comprehensive client assessments to determine mental health conditions, utilizing diagnostic tools and empathetic interviewing techniques to garner a deep understanding of each client's unique background and needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, integrating evidence-based practices to ensure personalized interventions that target specific mental health concerns.
• Engage in one-on-one counseling sessions, providing a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and family therapy as needed, promoting growth and healing through collective support.
• Monitor and evaluate the progress of clients regularly, adjusting treatment plans to reflect their evolving needs and responses to therapy.
• Document all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes meticulously to ensure continuity of care and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with fellow mental health professionals, exchanging insights and strategies to enhance the overall client care process.
• Participate in continuous professional development, attending workshops and training sessions to remain knowledgeable about industry advancements and therapeutic techniques.

Your primary focus will be on providing mental health counseling to a diverse patient population, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, and trauma. You will work closely with clients who vary in age and background, each requiring a personalized approach to therapy that respects their unique life situations and cultural contexts.

• A Master’s degree in mental health counseling, psychology, social work, or a closely related field is required.
• Current and valid state licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington state.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience in mental health counseling is required.
• Exceptional communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills that foster a trusting relationship with clients.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a supportive, team-oriented atmosphere.
• Strong foundation in evidence-based practices and a passion for continuous learning within the mental health field.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical records (EMRs) and modern technology to streamline client care and documentation.

• Experience in providing counseling across various modalities, including individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy.
• Familiarity with diverse therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.
• Prior experience working in a community health or outpatient setting would be advantageous.
