Remote No Experience Full Stack Software Developer information

What is a remote no experience full stack software developer?

A Remote No Experience Full Stack Software Developer is someone who works from any location (typically from home) and contributes to both the front-end and back-end development of software applications, even if they do not have prior professional experience in the field. These roles are often entry-level and may require strong foundational knowledge of programming languages, web development frameworks, and databases. Many companies offer training or mentorship for beginners, making it possible for newcomers to start a career in software development remotely.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote no experience full stack software developer?

To thrive as a Remote No Experience Full Stack Software Developer, you need a solid understanding of foundational programming concepts, web development fundamentals, and a willingness to learn new technologies. Familiarity with tools like Git, basic front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end frameworks (such as Node.js or Python), and online coding platforms is often required even for entry-level roles. Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and effective communication are essential for collaborating remotely and managing independent tasks. These skills and qualities ensure you can adapt quickly, contribute to projects, and grow in a dynamic, distributed work environment.

What are some common challenges faced by remote no experience full stack software developers, and how can they overcome them?

Remote full stack software developers who are new to the field often face challenges such as adapting to collaborative workflows, managing time effectively, and quickly learning both front-end and back-end technologies. Since you may not have direct mentorship in a remote setting, proactively communicating with your team and making use of company-provided resources or online communities is essential. Setting a structured daily routine, breaking down tasks into manageable goals, and regularly seeking feedback can help you stay on track and accelerate your learning curve.

In this role, you'll collaborate with software developers, systems engineers, and cloud architects to build secure, scalable, and highly automated infrastructure that enables rapid software delivery and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate has a passion for automation, cloud technologies, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevSecOps practices. You'll play a key role in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing containerized environments, and supporting cloud-native applications that enable critical national security missions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable DevOps environments supporting mission-critical applications.
  • Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient software integration, testing, and deployment.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational workflows using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
  • Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications within Kubernetes or similar orchestration platforms.
  • Collaborate with software developers and systems engineers to improve application reliability, performance, and deployment efficiency.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and application availability using modern observability and logging solutions.
  • Support Linux-based environments while implementing security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Assist with troubleshooting production issues, identifying root causes, and implementing long-term solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance automation, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience developing or supporting enterprise-level applications using object-oriented programming principles.
  • Experience supporting multi-tiered and/or microservices-based architectures.
  • Experience with at least one cloud platform, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar.
  • Strong scripting experience using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or comparable scripting languages.
  • Experience administering or supporting Linux environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or Intelligence Community programs.
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Puppet.
  • Experience deploying, managing, and maintaining Kubernetes clusters.
  • Familiarity with GitOps methodologies and tools such as ArgoCD or GitLab.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms including Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or the ELK Stack.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, security principles, firewalls, and identity and access management (IAM).
  • Experience implementing DevSecOps practices and automating infrastructure, testing, and deployment workflows.

This position offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes significant profit-sharing opportunities, retirement plan, company-paid health, vision, and dental care benefits, flexible PTO, and bonus opportunities.

The base salary range for this position is $108,128 - $179,440 annually, based on full-time employment in the Denver, Colorado area. The final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, qualifications, education, and market conditions.
