REQUIRED SKILLS

Overview: We are seeking a motivated and capable Network Automation Engineer to join our network Automation/operations team. This role will focus on automating processes within network operations, requiring a strong foundation in networking and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have excellent soft skills, be a team player, and possess the ability to pass a clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automate network operations processes, including the rollout of upgrades to Meraki switches, monitoring and alerting systems, and integration of Aruba APs into SolarWinds.
  • Develop automation solutions for SDWAN IONs, including automating ServiceNow ticket creation and resolution.
  • Collaborate with the cloud team to automate firewall rule requests, ensuring efficient and accurate rule implementation.
  • Support infrastructure for federal and state government programs, including FSA, CDC, and veteran evaluation services.

Key Technologies they use:

  • Networking: Aruba Wireless, Palo Alto SDWAN IONS, Palo Alto Firewalls, NGFW, Cisco (including VPN IPSEC tunnels and Meraki), SolarWinds.
  • Automation: Ansible, Python, Rundeck, Codeshuttle, terraform
  • Cloud: AWS (primary), Azure (building out), Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals and cloud technologies.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Python, and Rundeck.
  • Ability to work remotely and collaborate with a distributed team.
  • Must be able to pass a public trust clearance (6C), with the potential for a secret clearance in the future.
