This full-time position will primarily operate in a remote environment, allowing you the flexibility to provide quality care to our clients while effectively managing a healthy work-life balance. This remote position allows for flexibility and autonomy, with the added benefit of working within a supportive healthcare framework. Our community health clinic setting ensures that you will be collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other professionals, enhancing the overall quality of patient care. The clinic operates seven days a week from 7 AM to 10 PM, accommodating various client schedules while promoting a guided yet independent approach to therapy delivery.

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ histories and current psychological states, ensuring tailored treatment plans.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that focus on building resilience and supporting trauma recovery.
• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help clients process trauma, build coping strategies, and promote healing.
• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.
• Offering crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure immediate and effective response for clients in distress.
• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources, fostering informed participation in their treatment.
• Maintaining confidential and accurate documentation of treatment processes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engaging in case consultations and team meetings focused on trauma-informed care practices, ensuring alignment with current best practices.
• Staying current with the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy, integrating new information into clinical practice.

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including adults who have experienced various forms of trauma. Understanding their unique backgrounds and experiences will be vital in addressing their mental health needs. Your role will be impactful in helping them navigate their recovery journeys by providing compassionate, client-centered care.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Illinois.
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, emphasizing a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications.

Though not required, we prefer candidates with:

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling.
• Experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
• A collaborative mindset, capable of working seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team.

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, reflecting the experience and skills you bring to our team. Additional benefits include:
