Job description

About Dr. Berg Nutritionals
Dr. Berg Nutritionals is a leader in the health and wellness industry focused on addressing the root causes of health concerns. We offer a dynamic work environment where you can contribute to helping millions achieve better health through education, premium supplements, and holistic practices like the Healthy Keto® diet.
Be a part of an innovative and fast-growing company that is passionate about transforming lives through education on health and wellness.
Job Overview
If you live and breathe video editing, have a keen eye for detail, and skill in AI animation, this is one of the best canvases on the internet. Dr. Berg Nutritionals reaches over 47 million followers across platforms, and our YouTube channel alone has built one of the largest health and wellness audiences in the world. We're doubling down on short-form, long-form, and AI-driven animation, and we're looking for the editor who will lead that creative direction with us.
You'll edit 15-20 educational YouTube Shorts every week, contribute to long-form videos that millions of people watch to make better health decisions, and create the AI-generated 3D-style animations that bring those videos to life. Your work won't sit in a portfolio; it'll run on screens around the world the same week you make it.
Who You Are
You are a strong video editor first. Given a script, you find the story, cut for retention, and deliver clean, polished work across both short-form and long-form videos. You understand that pacing is a craft, that a strong hook makes or breaks a Short, and that captions and sound design are never an afterthought.
On top of that, you're fluent in AI animation. Tools like Midjourney, Runway, Pika, Leonardo, Sora, and Kling (plus whatever launched last week) are already part of your toolkit. You can build 3D-style animated scenes that accurately illustrate complex health concepts and weave them seamlessly into the videos you edit.
This is not about social media trends-it's about producing professional, AI-enhanced educational content built for genuine retention and learning. You're energized by educational work. The projects you're proudest of are the ones that teach people something, and you see health and wellness as one of the most meaningful spaces to do that.
What You Will Be Doing
  • Edit 15-20 educational YouTube Shorts per week, from raw footage through final export
  • Edit long-form YouTube content with strong narrative structure and visual storytelling that helps millions of viewers make better health decisions
  • Create AI-generated 3D-style animated scenes that illustrate health concepts, for both Shorts and long-form videos
  • Craft hook-first openings, retention-optimized pacing, and sound design that elevates the message
  • Design captions that read clearly on mobile and reinforce the educational message
  • Collaborate with our YouTube and content teams on what's working and show us areas where we can push the bounds of creativity

What You Bring - Required Skills and Experience
  • Strong video editing skills across both short-form vertical and long-form horizontal formats
  • Working command of AI video and image tools (Midjourney, Runway, Pika, Leonardo, Sora, Kling, or comparable)
  • Proven ability to produce 3D-style animated scenes within provided creative parameters
  • A portfolio demonstrating both your editing work and your AI animation work
  • Demonstrated ability to edit fast-paced, retention-driven vertical content
  • A track record of returning projects on realistic, assigned deadlines
  • Strong instincts for sound quality and creating accurate captions for short-form video
  • A clear understanding of hooks, high-retention narrative structure, and what makes short-form content travel
  • Experience producing content in an educational niche (health, science, finance, history, or similar), we are looking for an educational-content editor, not an entertainment-industry editor
  • Comfort working asynchronously on a fully remote team
  • Reliably meeting team timelines, since content moves through multiple stages of development and review

Compensation
This role can be structured as employment or contract, depending on the candidate-we'll discuss specifics during the hiring process.
  • Pay range: $30 - $45/hour depending on experience
  • Competitive benefits package available

How to Apply
We want to see both your editing reel and examples of your AI-generated animation work. Show us the project you're proudest of and tell us what it taught people.
Our application process includes submitting the following along with your resume:
  • Link three examples of fast-paced vertical edits you produced
  • Link on or more examples of long-form content
  • At least one example of an AI-generated 3D-style animated scene (standalone or embedded in a video)
  • A short, written response (a paragraph or two is fine) on what you believe makes an educational YouTube Short communicate clearly and genuinely educate someone.

Additional Details
  • Hours: Monday through Friday with availability for work during the hours of 9 AM to 6 PM ET
  • Location: Fully remote
  • Type: Employment full-time (W2) or full-time independent contractor
  • Tech: Up-to-date Mac or PC with anti-virus, reliable high-speed internet, quiet workspace
  • Tools: Comfortable with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Excel, Word) for day-to-day collaboration
  • Test project: Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a brief paid test project as part of the interview process

Dr. Berg Nutritionals is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
