The successful candidate will work closely with physicians, laboratory leaders, quality stakeholders, and executive decision-makers to implement CYP2C19 testing programs that support evidence-based treatment decisions and improved patient outcomes.ย  As an RVP, this individual will have the opportunity to grow the territory with additional resources as specific targets are achieved.

The ideal candidate is an accomplished healthcare sales professional with a proven track record of winning complex hospital accounts, navigating multi-stakeholder sales cycles, and delivering clinical value in highly technical healthcare environments.

What You'll Do

Drive New Business Growth

  • Develop and execute a strategic territory business plan focused on acquiring new hospital and health system customers.
  • Identify, engage, and close opportunities that result in long-term supply agreements and sustained platform utilization.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed quarterly and annual revenue, account acquisition, and activity objectives.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities across all stages of the sales process.

Lead Complex Hospital Sales Cycles

  • Navigate complex healthcare purchasing environments involving physicians, laboratory leadership, pharmacy, nursing, supply chain, finance, and value analysis committees.

  • Lead contract discussions and coordinate internal resources to successfully advance opportunities to close.
  • Effectively manage competitive positioning and overcome barriers to adoption.

Establish Clinical and Executive Relationships

  • Serve as a strategic partner to customers throughout the evaluation, implementation, and expansion process.

Deliver Clinical Value

  • Present scientific, clinical, operational, and economic evidence to diverse healthcare audiences.
  • Conduct educational programs, product demonstrations, and executive-level presentations that communicate the value of pharmacogenomic testing.
  • Confidently address clinical and technical questions from physicians, laboratorians, pharmacists, and healthcare executives.
  • Stay current on the clinical landscape, customer needs, and evolving institutional requirements affecting CYP2C19 testing.

Manage Territory Performance

  • Maintain accurate forecasting, opportunity tracking, and customer engagement records within CRM.
  • Utilize data-driven account planning to prioritize high-value opportunities and maximize territory performance.
  • Collaborate effectively with Marketing, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership teams to support customer acquisition and growth.
  • Maintain a high-quality activity cadence โ€”including in-person hospital visits, virtual meetings, and substantive phone calls with emphasis on advancing accounts through the sales process to close.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of successful healthcare, diagnostic, medical device, laboratory, or life sciences sales experience.
  • Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding quota in complex B2B healthcare sales environments.
  • Proven success selling into hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers, or integrated delivery networks.
  • Experience managing long sales cycles involving multiple clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and strategic account management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver scientifically rigorous sales presentations and engage sophisticated clinical and executive audiences.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the Northeast territory, including overnight travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling molecular diagnostics, precision medicine, pharmacogenomics, genetic testing, or laboratory services.
  • Experience calling on Neurology or Interventional Cardiology service lines.
  • Familiarity with hospital workflow, reimbursement, value analysis processes, and healthcare economics.
