Job Description

We are looking for 2 Sales Engineers to join our growing global team at Sectigo.
The Sales Engineer plays a vital hybrid role, providing both direct customer engagement and critical support to Sales Engineers and Senior Sales Engineers. This position is ideal for professionals with a passion for technology and a desire to grow into a full Sales Engineering role. This individual is involved in technical demonstrations, proof of concept initiatives, and strategic customer interactions - all while developing expertise in Sectigo's industry-leading security solutions.

These are full-time, remote roles, and we're ideally looking for someone based in the Northeastern United States and the Midwest. The target compensation range is $120,000-$145,000 USD, with an 80/20 split between base salary and commission, depending on your experience and background.

We also review compensation based on market trends, business needs, and the scope of the territory, so there may be flexibility for the right candidate.

Here are the core functions, responsibilities, and expectations for this role:ย 

  • Support the mid-market, enterprise, and eCommerce sales teams during the sales cycle with technical input, project coordination, and customer management.ย 
  • Participate in technical demos and presentations for prospects and partners, tailored to both technical and executive-level audiences.ย 
  • ย Assist in planning and implementing Proof of Concept (PoC) efforts, with increasing responsibility over time.ย 
  • Provide first-level technical support during sales engagements and collaborate with Senior SEs to drive technical success.ย 
  • Assist with sales proposals, RFPs, and RFIs, contributing to technical documentation and responses.ย 
  • Collect and communicate customer feedback, product improvement ideas, and feature requests to Product Management.ย 
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineers on projects involving channel partners, customer onboarding, or technology alliances.ย 
  • ย Contribute to a positive team culture and participate in ongoing enablement activities to accelerate learning and growth.ย 
  • Perform solution research and competitive analysis to support the positioning of Sectigo products.ย 
  • Set up and maintain demo environments, sandbox environments, and lab infrastructure for SE use.ย 
  • Prepare customized demo content, scripts, or user flows tailored to prospect use cases.ย 
  • Shadow senior SEs during technical discovery and implementation calls to build product and customer knowledge.ย 
  • Document repeatable solutions, product tips, and internal knowledge to support team scalability.ย 
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Sales Enablement teams on cross-functional projects as needed.ย 
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and participate in ongoing enablement activities to accelerate learning and growth.
  • Additional tasks associated with this position may be assigned in response to company initiatives and business needs.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineeringfrom an accredited college, orequivalent work experienceis strongly recommended. ย 

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of relevant professional experience OR 1+ years of experience in a pre-sales, technical consulting, or solution engineering role is required.ย ย 
  • Exposure to scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or Bash).ย 
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).ย 
  • Hands-on experience with web servers, firewalls, and load balancers.ย 
  • Understanding of basic networking, SSL/TLS, PKI, or web infrastructure concepts.ย 
  • Knowledge of private PKI a plus.
  • Ability and availability to travel:Must be able to travel more than 25% of the time to the assigned regions and/or territories.ย
