Job description

We are seeking a Senior VDI Engineer with hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting Omnissa Horizon (formerly VMware Horizon), including Horizon 8 environments. The role will focus on VDI architecture, Horizon platform administration, automation, security, and operational support across enterprise environments.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, configure, and support Omnissa Horizon 8 VDI environments.
  • Provide senior-level engineering support for Horizon infrastructure and delivery teams.
  • Deploy and manage physically and logically isolated VDI architectures.
  • Configure and support Connection Servers, Horizon Agents/Clients, UAG, Enrollment Servers, vCenter, and vSphere .
  • Implement and maintain Cloud Pod Architecture (CPA) for high availability and scalability.
  • Develop automation to streamline VDI provisioning, configuration, maintenance, and operational processes .
  • Troubleshoot complex Horizon, virtualization, networking, authentication, and access issues.
  • Support VDI security controls, authentication, SSO, and secure remote access.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, networking, and application teams to deliver reliable VDI solutions.
  • Develop technical documentation, operational procedures, and best practices.
  • Participate in VDI upgrades, migrations, optimization, and platform improvements.
Required Skills
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Omnissa Horizon / VMware Horizon , including Horizon 8.
  • Strong knowledge of the Horizon technology stack , including:
    • Connection Server
