OverviewWe are searching for an experienced Data Center Sales Representative/Business Development at our Remote facility. 
The Data Center Sales Representative –Business Development is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding Senneca's presence within the U.S. data center market. This role manages a national territory and develops relationships with end users, contractors, architects, engineers, distributors, and strategic accounts. The position requires understanding the data center project lifecycle from design and specification through construction, procurement, and commissioning. The individual will also partner with Senneca's field sales organization and pursue strategic opportunities under the Subzero Engineering® brand.

ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute a national data center sales strategy.
  • Identify and close opportunities with hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, modular, and mission-critical customers.
  • Build executive-level relationships with key decision makers and achieve revenue, margin, and growth objectives.

Specification & Project Development
  • Drive specifications during the design phase of new and retrofit projects.
  • Work with owners, architects, engineers, and consultants to secure product approvals.
  • Manage opportunities from concept through purchasing and commissioning.

Channel & Distribution Management
  • Partner with Senneca field sales teams and existing distributors to develop data center opportunities.
  • Support regional sales teams, conduct product training, and deliver presentations to channel partners and end users.
  • Create pull-through demand through Senneca's distribution network.

National Account Management
  • Develop strategic relationships with targeted national accounts.
  • Lead direct sales efforts with key hyperscale and enterprise customers.
  • Coordinate activities across stakeholders to maximize account penetration and growth.

Market Expertise
  • Maintain knowledge of hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, modular, and government data center environments.
  • Develop expertise across the full Senneca product portfolio.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitive offerings, and design standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience in data centers, mission-critical infrastructure, architectural products, HVAC, or related building materials markets.
  • Experience selling through direct and channel-based models.
  • Proven success working with owners, general contractors, engineers, distributors, and end users.
  • Knowledge & Skills
    • Strong understanding of building material sales and commercial construction market segments.
    • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to manage complex opportunities involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Travel
