About the job

SAS Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Team is a service organization responsible for providing IT support for our full spectrum of SAS Solutions to Infrastructure & Platform Services. Additionally, the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) team works with other SAS IT teams to improve our service catalog offerings to our customers including helping to implement next generation technologies. As an Engineer in the SAS Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) team, you will use your communication and technical skills to support internal and external customers in our hosted & internal environment.  You will help design, implement, and support a large heterogeneous computing environment.  You will be responsible for helping to maintain Service Level Agreements and Operational Level Agreements, and improve the performance, reliability, and standardization of our hosted & internal solutions.

As an Information Network Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Initial Hosting or Corporate Environment Setup for customers - routers, switches, firewalls, F5s, Azure including complex VPN tunnel test and turnups
  • Azure Cloud complex network solution setups
  • Digital Certificate updates on networking devices
  • Moves, add, changes of advanced networking tasks for hosted customers
  • Network Leveraged Services support - Firewall, F5, VPNs
  • Consult with SAS PMs, CSDMs, and customers on Hosted Network Solutions
  • Escalation Support
  • Support Migrations from old Cary network fabric to new fabric and Azure
  • OS upgrades for Network Devices
  • Reduction of Technical Debt
  • Global Management of Wi-Fi and VPN Configurations (personal like AnyConnect/PulseSecure/GlobalProtect and site-to-site)
  • Address Security Vulnerabilities, Security and Pen Test Findings
  • Audit Evidence response of network environments and configurations - non-restricted environments

Required qualifications

Language Requirement:This role requires fluency in English. Additional proficiency in French is strongly preferred and will be considered an asset.Security Clearance Requirement:Candidates must be eligible to obtain Canadian government security clearance and maintain the clearance throughout their employment as they will work in a protected space.

 

  • 5+ years of experience in Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls, Azure Networking
  • F5 Load Balancers, and Palo Alto Firewalls.
  • Cisco and Aruba Wireless Access Point and Controller experience
  • Cisco AnyConnect, Palo Alto Global Protect, SSL based VPN like PulseSecure

The base salary range for this position is $79,698 CAD-$97,408 CAD per year and is a good-faith estimate only. Actual pay will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay is just one component of SAS's total compensation package for employees. Employees may also be eligible for commission or a discretionary bonus (based on company and individual performance), as determined by the role.
