Job description

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will lead the development of a performant, responsive, real-time frontend application that powers the Reya DEX and Network. You'll work closely with a highly technical team to craft a seamless user experience in a fast-paced, data-intensive DeFi environment.
We are a fully remote, forward-thinking team with an ambitious roadmap and a strong bias toward execution.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about DeFi, Web3, engineering rigor, security, and speed, and who brings 8+ years of frontend engineering experience with a deep commitment to code quality and modern testing practices.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the architecture and development of Reya's real-time trading and network interface
  • Build highly performant, responsive UI components for data-heavy DeFi applications
  • Design frontend systems that handle live market data, state synchronization, and complex user interactions
  • Collaborate closely with backend, protocol, and design teams to deliver a seamless product experience
  • Ensure high standards of code quality, testing, and maintainability across the frontend codebase
  • Contribute to frontend security practices and safe interaction with on-chain systems
  • Optimize performance for low-latency updates and real-time feedback
  • Participate in technical discussions, reviews, and roadmap execution
  • Real-Time Interface Development: Design and implement dynamic, interactive user interfaces that can handle real-time data feeds, such as live order book updates, price updates, trade executions. Your work will directly impact the user experience for traders.
  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with the product team and UX/UI designer to translate complex requirements into engaging, intuitive interfaces. Work side-by-side with backend engineers to ensure smooth data flow and API integration.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize application performance through efficient code, advanced rendering techniques, and smart resource management. You will focus on minimizing load times and ensuring smooth, lag-free interactions even under heavy data loads.
  • Responsive Design: Build responsive and accessible frontends that perform consistently across different devices and browsers, ensuring a high-quality user experience on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.
  • Modern Frontend Architecture: Utilize modern frontend frameworks (such as React) and state management libraries to architect scalable and maintainable codebases. Embrace best practices in component design, testing, and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 6+ years in frontend development with a solid background in building high-performance, real-time web applications
  • Deep expertise in JavaScript & TypeScript, modern web frameworks, and advanced CSS techniques.
  • Deep knowledge of the architecture of performant client-side React applications
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where priorities may shift rapidly. Your proactive approach and strong communication skills help drive project success.
  • You have a strong commitment to writing clean, maintainable code and are well-versed in testing methodologies including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Demonstrated experience with web sockets or other real-time data protocol.
  • Prior experience working closely with product, design, and backend teams in a remote or distributed setting

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in frontend development, particularly within fintech, trading, or real-time data applications.
  • Knowledge of server-side rendering (e.g., Next.js) and progressive web app (PWA) development is a plus
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline development and delivery processes
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with the web3 frontend stack (ethers/viem, client-side private key management, etc.)
