The Licensed Clinical Social Worker role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while ensuring accessibility to school-aged populations in need. This position will involve collaborating with educators and school administrators to integrate mental health services within educational settings effectively. While the standard work hours are Monday to Friday, occasional evening and weekend availability may be required to attend special programs and community outreach events.

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify the social, emotional, and psychological needs of students and their families, ensuring a deep understanding of unique challenges.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to the needs of students.
• Develop and execute personalized service plans that align with clients' goals, ensuring progress is continually tracked and adjusted as necessary.
• Act as a steadfast advocate for clients' rights and access to essential resources, addressing barriers to educational and social equity.
• Engage in program development, outcome evaluations, and grant reporting, contributing valuable insights to enhance service delivery.
• Collaborate with community organizations, social services, and government agencies to build a referral network and enhance holistic support for students.
• Participate actively in team meetings, professional training sessions, and community engagement initiatives to stay informed and foster collaborative practices.

This position primarily focuses on school-aged children and their families, often representing a diverse demographic with various socioeconomic backgrounds. Many students may experience challenges related to trauma, mental health issues, learning disabilities, and other factors that affect their educational engagement and personal development. By understanding their unique circumstances, the LCSW will help create a supportive environment that facilitates both academic and emotional growth.

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.
• Strong foundational knowledge of social justice issues, advocacy, trauma-informed care, and relevant community resources.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills to effectively connect with students, families, and community partners.
• Proficient organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple cases efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Previous experience working within a nonprofit organization or educational environment is highly preferred.
• Demonstrable knowledge and practical experience with mental health assessment tools and therapeutic modalities.
• Familiarity with community engagement practices and collaborative models of service delivery.
