Job description

Job Title: .NET / Oracle Developer MS SQL Developer Must be located in or around the New York City area

Job Summary:

Next Generation, Inc. (NGI), an Equal Opportunity Employer, is seeking a highly skilled .NET / Oracle Developer MS SQL Developer to support our client's application development initiatives. The successful candidate will design, code, and test application software using .NET as the front-end development tool and SQL Server as the back-end database. This role will also provide technical support for custom development, database programming, performance monitoring, and knowledge transfer in core development technologies.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

7+ years of professional experience in application development using .NET technologies.

Strong programming skills in ASP.NET (C#), HTML, CSS, XML, and Visual Studio .NET.

Proficiency with MS SQL Server database development, including stored procedures, triggers, indexing, and performance optimization.

Experience with API development and integration.

Hands-on experience with Power BI for data reporting and visualization.

Familiarity with Oracle database integration and development is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Design, code, and test application software using .NET technologies with SQL Server as the backend database.

Develop and maintain web applications using ASP.NET C#, HTML, CSS, and XML.

Create, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures in MS SQL Server.

Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and internal teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.

Develop and integrate APIs to support seamless data exchange between systems.

Implement performance monitoring and tuning practices for database and application components.

Work closely with client teams to create and test applications across multiple environments.

Build and deploy reports and dashboards using Power BI for enhanced data visualization.

Provide knowledge transfer and technical guidance to client staff on .NET and SQL Server development practices.

Participate in code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting of application issues.
