Job description

[MULTIPLE POSITIONS] Avanade Inc. seeks a Senior Enterprise Tech Architect in Houston, TX. As part of the leadership team in a growing Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) practice, this role oversees digital transformation initiatives that enhance customer experience, optimize costs, and drive business outcomes. Responsibilities include managing Digital Marketing client engagements, leading all phases of the software development lifecycle-estimation, design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and support. The role also involves leading the design, architecture, development, testing, and deployment of AEM Web and Mobile solutions, collaborating with clients, designers, product owners, developers, system administrators, project managers, business analysts, and end users to build a cutting-edge Digital Platform using Adobe's Digital Marketing Product Suite. Ensuring engineering excellence, the role promotes Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and comprehensive documentation. Additionally, it requires implementing strategies based on business needs, long-term objectives, and creative design, while providing technical guidance to AEM developers on best practices for both front-end and back-end development. Hands-on coding is required when necessary, alongside architectural input on server environment configuration, clustering, caching, CDN usage, and security. Leading project teams of 10+ AEM developers across onsite and remote global locations, the role also contributes to collateral development for efficient AEM project implementation. Periodic travel to client sites (domestic) is expected up to 80% of the time. Must live within reasonable commuting distance of Houston, TX. Compensation at Avanade varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Avanade provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired as set forth below. The offered salary range for this specific position in Houston, TX is $149,718 - $ 179,300 per year. Any multi-state or general compensation ranges displayed below do not apply to this position.

Basic Qualifications:

The position requires at least a bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field, and at least seven (7) years of experience as a software developer or technical architect, or in a similar occupation within a technology or IT consulting environment. A qualified applicant's experience must include the following skills: 7 years of development experience with Microsoft technologies including NET, SQL, HTML, CSS, and JSS; 6 years of development experience with Sitecore products and formats, including XM Cloud or its predecessors (XM and XP), Content Hub, Active Commerce/uCommerce, Personalize, and/or SXA: 6 years of experience performing data migration in Sitecore; 6 years of experience configurating and integrating modern Search solutions including Solr, Coveo, Sitecore and/or Search or its predecessors; 6 years of experience with governance principles, security and compliance standards, ensuring adherence to Sitecore best practices; 2 years of experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure for enterprise-scale deployments; and 4 years of experience leading and managing developers on Sitecore implementations.
