How to Become a Remote NET Developer?

To become a remote .NET developer, you need to have several qualifications, including education, years of professional experience, and a range of analytical and creative problem-solving skills. A bachelor’s degree in computer science is the most common degree, although a degree in information technology, statistics, or a closely related technical subject may suffice. You should also have strong programming skills in .NET, as well as other languages, such as C#, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. If you work from home, you need strong communication skills and a reliable internet connection.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote .NET Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote .NET Developer, you need strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, and object-oriented programming, usually backed by a relevant degree or equivalent experience. Familiarity with development tools such as Visual Studio, version control systems like Git, and cloud platforms such as Azure is typically required, along with certifications like Microsoft Certified: .NET Developer being advantageous. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and self-motivation are essential soft skills for effectively collaborating and delivering quality code in a remote environment. These competencies ensure that remote developers can produce robust solutions, work efficiently with distributed teams, and adapt to evolving project needs.

How does a Remote .NET Developer typically collaborate with team members and manage communication across different time zones?

Remote .NET Developers often work with distributed teams, making effective communication crucial. Collaboration is usually managed through tools like Slack, Microsoft Teams, and project management platforms such as Jira or Azure DevOps. Regular video meetings, clear documentation, and overlapping work hours help ensure everyone stays aligned on project goals and progress. Adapting to asynchronous communication and being proactive in sharing updates are common practices to overcome time zone differences and maintain productivity.

What are Remote .NET Developers?

Remote .NET Developers are software professionals who specialize in building, maintaining, and optimizing applications using the .NET framework, all while working from a location outside the traditional office environment. They leverage technologies such as C#, ASP.NET, and other Microsoft tools to create web, desktop, or mobile applications. This role requires strong technical skills, good communication, and the ability to work independently.

Duration: 12 Months+ contract
Compensation: $65.00 - $71.00/hr
Work Requirements: , Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Senior Azure AI Developer (Mid-Senior)
Summary
We are seeking a highly versatile and proactive Azure AI Developer to join our Enterprise Architecture team. This is not a traditional "research " AI role; we are looking for a "do-it-all " agentic AI builder who can bridge the gap between pro-code Azure development and low-code AI tools. You will be responsible for building, integrating, and deploying autonomous AI agents that solve real business problems. If you are a strong Azure developer who thrives on using Claude/GPT, loves experimenting with new AI frameworks, and has experience making low-code platforms (Power Platform/Dataverse) behave like enterprise-grade tools, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
  • Agentic AI Development: Design, build, and deploy autonomous AI agents and multi-agent systems that reason, plan, and act.
  • LLM Integration: Leverage Claude, GPT-4, and other models via Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI to build conversational copilots and workflow automations.
  • Versatile Implementation: Build end-to-end AI applications, moving fluidly between Pro-Code (Python/Azure Functions) and Low-Code (Power Platform).
  • Power Platform & Copilot Studio: Utilize Microsoft Copilot Studio and Dataverse to build intelligent, enterprise-grade assistants integrated into the Microsoft ecosystem.
  • Enterprise Integration: Connect AI agents with enterprise data sources (Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL) using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns to ensure grounded, accurate responses.
  • Versatile Problem-Solving: Act as a "jack-of-all-trades " developer—writing API connectors one day, configuring Dataverse tables the next, and fine-tuning prompt flows the next.
  • Responsible AI: Ensure agentic workflows adhere to security, governance, and ethical guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Azure Expertise: 4+ years of experience with Azure development (Azure AI Services, Azure Functions, Azure AI Foundry, Azure Machine Learning ).
  • Agentic AI Experience: Proven experience building AI agents, particularly using frameworks like LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or AutoGen.
  • Generative AI: Strong proficiency in using Claude and ChatGPT API to build applications, including prompt engineering.
  • Low-Code/No-Code: Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) and Microsoft Dataverse .
  • Languages: Proficient in Python (preferred) or C#/.NET.
  • Versatility: Ability to quickly learn and adopt new tools—you are more interested in using AI to get things done than studying AI theory.
Additional Skills
  • Experience with Copilot Studio Agent Studio for creating custom agents.
  • Experience with vector databases and semantic search implementations.
  • Background in enterprise software architecture or business process automation.
Our benefits package includes:
  • Comprehensive medical benefits
  • Competitive pay
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • …and much more!
