We are seeking a Senior Sales Account Executive to drive net-new revenue. The ideal candidate is a true hunter with a proven track record of sourcing, developing, and closing new logo custom software consulting engagements. This role owns the full outbound sales cycle, from prospecting and first conversations through scoping and closing mid‑market engagements.

These companies are typically thriving businesses outside of the traditional software industry, they need to build new technology to scale their business, or want to establish new software products to complement their primary business.

This role will identify strong prospective clients and establish relationships with senior technology stakeholders and work with the Bellwood Leadership and Delivery Team to build trust and earn the business opportunity to build the software they need.

This role is a critical building block for the company to move beyond founder-led sales and fuel future growth.

This role will be selling high-quality custom software services with an engaged and talented team that is building a scaled culture of excellence.
 

Essential skills:

  • Proven outbound hunter capable of generating new logo opportunities
  • Strong consultative sales skills for complex, services‑based engagements
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales automation tools


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Owning the full outbound sales cycle to close custom software development engagements and consistently meet revenue goals and quota
  • Developing and executing predictable outbound processes that generate qualified new logo opportunities with C‑level executives and technology leaders
  • Conducting multi‑channel prospecting, leading first conversations, running discovery, and guiding prospects through a consultative, services‑based sales process
  • Tailoring custom software solutions to meet the prospects' pain points in partnership with Delivery and Leadership teams - this is not SaaS sales
  • Preparing concise and accurate proposals for prospective clients
  • Using CRM to update, track, and maintain daily activity and all relevant contact, company, and opportunity information
  • Effectively managing pipeline including accurate monthly, 90 day, and 120 day forecasts
  • Coordinating with marketing about feedback on leads that are received, and informing marketing of common questions that are raised in the sales cycle to build content that helps answer those questions to generate future leads
  • Performing other duties as assigned


We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a proven track record of closing new logo deals and consistently meeting or exceeding quota
  • Has 5+ years of quota carrying sales experience, with 3+ years of experience selling high-quality, U.S. based custom software development consulting services, ideally with a focus on developing complex software products and mobile applications
  • Is passionate about helping others with their software technology needs and is passionate about the craft of sales.
  • Understands the distinct value and roles of Software Developers, UX/UI Design, and Product Management
  • Is organized and methodical with strong prioritization and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong relationship building skills with prospects, customers, and internal teams
  • A coachable and curious mindset able to take feedback coupled with a strong desire to learn
  • A strong worth ethic and goal-oriented competitive attitude that intends to win
  • Can travel to clients, prospects, and trade shows up to 25% of the time


Compensation at Bellwood is determined by several factors, including job scope, title, and relevant experience. We offer competitive, market‑aligned pay supported by comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $80,000 to $120,000, plus generous commission opportunities directly tied to individual performance.


Travel Requirements:

This position requires mandatory travel to attend two key company-wide events annually. These events are essential for our organizational goals and provide valuable opportunities for team engagement and collaboration. The company will arrange and cover all travel and accommodation expenses. Additional travel related to the role may also be required.
