Position Overview

Precious Health Valley Mental Healthcare is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team in Kent, Washington. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and create individualized treatment plans, encompassing crisis plans, behavioral guidelines, and medication treatment strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation that adheres to regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Utilize evidence-based screening tools and methodologies in collaboration with the clinical team to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Develop and implement positive behavior support plans as part of a collaborative effort with diverse teams and programs.
  • Actively engage in licensing and accreditation processes to uphold the highest standards of care.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and relevant service systems, including state agencies and community partners, facilitating access to necessary resources.
  • Establish and nurture open lines of communication within the clinical team and with external entities to advance contract objectives and the organization’s mission.
  • Engage actively with local, state, and federal agencies to establish partnerships, explore funding opportunities, and enhance community outreach.
  • Pursue ongoing professional and personal growth by attending conferences, workshops, and statewide meetings related to mental health and counseling.
  • Promote the agency’s mission, values, and principles through your daily practice and community engagement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to support team objectives.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients we serve come from diverse backgrounds and have varying mental health needs, including those dealing with emotional challenges, substance use recovery, and developmental disabilities. Your role will involve working closely with these individuals, advocating for their wellbeing, and using therapeutic techniques tailored to their unique situations. By building strong therapeutic relationships, you will help clients navigate their recovery journeys and empower them towards achieving their personal and social goals.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in a mental health-related field is required.
  • An independent LMHC license in the state of Washington is required; we will cover the fees for candidates licensed in another state to help them achieve licensure in Washington.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in community health settings or clinics.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices and treatment protocols in mental health counseling.
  • Experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
