Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our growing Commercial Lines team. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day servicing of commercial insurance accounts, supporting renewals and quoting activities, and delivering responsive, high-quality service to clients, Producers, and carrier partners. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and experienced in working within a fast-paced insurance environment while maintaining a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. This position plays a key role in supporting account retention, operational efficiency, and overall client success.

Work location and arrangement: This is a full-time remote position that supports our office located in Hudson, New York. Preference for candidates residing in the Northeast Region.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Deliver prompt, accurate, and professional service to clients, Producers, carrier representatives, and internal team members.
  • Manage day-to-day servicing of assigned commercial accounts, including policy changes, account maintenance, and client support needs.
  • Rate and quote commercial insurance policies using carrier websites and available agency systems to support new and renewal business.
  • Handle renewal submissions and assist in the remarketing process to help secure appropriate coverage solutions for clients.
  • Prepare proposals and supporting materials for Sales Executives and Producers.
  • Respond to client inquiries, troubleshoot coverage or service-related issues, and coordinate timely resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, policy activity, and account updates within agency systems.
  • Support sales teams and new Producers by helping explain commercial lines coverages, products, and service processes.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of evolving insurance products, carrier requirements, and service standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support workflow management, team priorities, and client retention initiatives.
  • Support special projects, departmental initiatives, and additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of commercial insurance customer service, account management, or insurance sales experience preferred.
  • Active New York Property & Casualty insurance license preferred.
  • Experience working with commercial insurance products, coverages, renewals, and carrier rating platforms preferred.
  • Claims experience helpful but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and agency systems required.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients, peers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborative, client-focused mindset with strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Salary: $45,000 - $50,000 per year depending on experience

A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the required state pay transparency law. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
