Job Summary

The EEG Technical Operations Specialist has a strong background in EEG monitoring and technical troubleshooting. The role requires a person who can effectively address technical issues both in-house and at clinical sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security protocols, HIPAA compliance, and the safeguarding of PHI. Additionally, this individual will collaborate with IT support teams, equipment vendors, remote application companies, and the marketing department to improve operations and promote the recruitment of new EEG techs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Troubleshooting:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting technical issues both in-house and at clinical sites.
    • Collaborate with 15+ clinical site help desks and IT support teams to resolve connectivity, software, and hardware problems impacting remote EEG monitoring.
    • Develop and implement technical solutions to improve system reliability and patient care.
  • Vendor and Application Management:
    • Establish and maintain relationships with large-scale equipment vendors and remote application companies to address and resolve system weaknesses.
    • Collaborate on the development and integration of new technologies to enhance the performance of remote monitoring systems.
  • HIPAA, and PHI Compliance:
    • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient data privacy and security.
    • Safeguard PHI by ensuring appropriate encryption, access controls, and data protection protocols are in place.
  • IT and Clinical Support:
    • Foster close working relationships with onsite IT teams at clinical sites, ensuring issue resolution.
    • Coordinate with external vendors to facilitate new system implementations.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify and address technical challenges that hinder optimal patient care and work to implement innovative solutions.
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the company’s technical capabilities.
  • Operational Support:
    • Assist the Remote Monitoring Manager and Supervisor with daily operations, including workflow management, troubleshooting, and forward planning.
    • Provide input on strategic planning and long-term technical solutions to support the growing needs of the remote monitoring division.
  • Recruitment and Marketing Support:
    • Work closely with the marketing department to promote the recruitment of new EEG technologists through media campaigns and other sourcing applications.
  • Documentation and Training:
    • Document all technical issues and resolutions for future reference.
    • Assist in the training and onboarding of new staff regarding technical processes and tools.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in EEG monitoring with a focus on technical troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and HIPAA compliance.
  • Strong understanding of EEG monitoring systems, software, and hardware.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with clinical site IT teams and external vendors.
  • Experience working with remote applications.
