Key Responsibilities- Conduct detailed evaluations and assessments of children under care for various developmental challenges.
- Take an active role in the development and implementation of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP), tailoring strategies to meet the unique needs of each child and family.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to monitor child progress and adapt intervention plans when necessary.
- Provide families with critical support and resources designed to assist them in fostering their child’s growth and development.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations relating to social work practices and child development services.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children and families, creating a healthy and conducive environment for learning.
- Utilize effective coaching models and natural environment teaching methods to maximize developmental outcomes.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of all interactions, assessments, and progress, ensuring adherence to best practices.
You will primarily work with infants and toddlers who demonstrate developmental delays or disabilities. Your work will directly impact their developmental trajectory during these formative years. By offering family-centered interventions and fostering natural learning experiences, you will play a crucial role in empowering parents and caregivers to enhance their child's development.
Qualifications- A Master's or Doctorate in Social Work is required for this position.
- You must hold a valid license from the Department of Public Health, with a designation as an LCSW.
- A valid driver's license is necessary for occasional travel as part of your role.
- One year of experience in early intervention or a similar setting focused on children is required.
- Demonstrated commitment to employing Natural Learning Environment Practices in your approach to therapy.
- Strong skills in organization, time management, and effective communication.
