Here's how a Senior Proposals and Marketing Specialist for PCL Construction Enterprises, Inc. within US Head Office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities
  • Ensures proposals for clients identify differentiators while engaging the three levels of readership. Graphics are used for content improvement and enhancement which emphasizes the key messages.
  • Evaluates the narrative for relevance, comprehension, and applicability. Identifies any new narrative requirements with the appropriate partners to create them. New proposal narratives are created as the need arises.
  • Accurately proofs, edits, and rewords context to deliver a high-quality, compliant, error-free to meet the established timeline. Ensuring the content is written in a singular voice with messaging continuity throughout the document.
  • Owns the proposal planning process, including review of client requirements, development of proposal outline, and creation of timeline/assignments.
  • Conducts client background research to identify questions, concerns, and potential risks and advises strategic visioning and proposal planning stage.
  • Collaborates with internal client/partners to develop overall proposal strategy and applies it to the proposal in a manner that is compliant with the client requirements and consistent with district win strategy and/or corporate objectives/policies/goals.
  • Coordinates and leads the proposal strategy and planning sessions in collaboration with internal partners. Schedules and chairs the proposal kick-off meeting at the beginning of the pursuit phase.
  • Proactively tracks and maintains the communication including assignments for local & remote partners and the to ensure timelines are met.
  • Collaborating with the proposal team in preparation of presentation and interviews with prospective clients.
  • Participates and seeks involvement in outside professional organizations that support the proposal coordinator position.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or equivalent preferred.
  • Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) practitioner certification, Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • 5-7 years’ experience as a proposal coordinator or in a related role (communications, marketing, visual communications).
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills to effectively establishing the priorities and scheduling of work tasks
  • Outstanding attention to detail, good judgement, and able to problem-solve.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and visual communication skills. Ability to develop grammatically sound, customized, technical and written content.
  • In-depth knowledge of proposal fundamentals and standard methodologies.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with an ability to lead and collaborate with a diverse group sensitively, thoughtfully, and respectfully.
  • Ability to establish, influence, and maintain relationships with decision makers and key partners.
  • Strong intuition for business understanding industry practices and new developments in construction process, delivery models, contract types).
