Job description

Title: Maintenance Technician
Company: Global Power Components - www.globalpowercomponents.com
Location: Milwaukee, WI (onsite 5-days/week)
Hire Type: Temp-to-Hire (3+ months)
Overview:
Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. We are seeking motivated Maintenance Technician to repair CNC & welding machines. If you are looking for an organization that is busy, growing with stable consistent work where OT is always available but NOT mandatory, then Global Power Components is the place to be!
Core Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance of various CNC machines, powder coating lines, welding cells, and other equipment
  • Maintaining asset reliability to a high standard
  • Utilizing a CMMS for enabling efficient maintenance and repair operations
  • Equipment lubrication, filter changes and standard preventative maintenance
  • Equipment troubleshooting in machine breakdown situations
  • Highlighting any faults or damage to the machine, guarding or tooling
  • Working closely with machine operators to identify potential issues prior to failure
  • Utilizing safe work practices

Requirements:
  • Computer literate
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Able to read blueprints and schematics
  • Able to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Must be highly motivated
  • Able to communicate and work well with others
  • Must pass competency test, and pre-employment physical including drug screen
  • 2+ of experience with machine maintenance in a CNC environment
  • Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication a plus
  • Experience in troubleshooting, dismantling, and repairing a variety of machinery including CNC equipment
  • Strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret a variety of blueprints, schematics, and documentation
