Sports Broadcast Operations Center Technician III 2967
  • Hourly pay: $25-$35/hr
  • Worksite: Leading music streaming company (Remote, Open to candidates located in the United States)
  • 32 hours/week, 6 Month Assignment

A leading music streaming company seeks a Sports Broadcast Operations Center Technician III to provide operational support for live sports programming by managing broadcast scheduling, signal acquisition, metadata accuracy, quality assurance, incident response, and cross-functional coordination to ensure reliable delivery of live sports content across satellite and digital platforms.
Sports Broadcast Operations Center Technician III Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, schedule, and execute live sports broadcasts across satellite and digital platforms by managing audio acquisition, metadata, broadcast automation, signal routing, and quality control while supporting multiple simultaneous live events.
  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot broadcast technologies including satellite, IP, Audio over IP, baseband, digital audio workstations, automation systems, routing systems, broadcast health dashboards, metadata validation tools, and technical alarms to quickly resolve issues and minimize customer impact.
  • Coordinate with Programming, Broadcast Engineering, Sports Board Operators, and third-party providers to prepare, execute, monitor, and support live sports broadcasts while documenting incidents, escalating operational risks, and ensuring seamless event delivery.
  • Participate in operational testing, disaster recovery exercises, workflow improvements, automation initiatives, and high-availability validation while contributing to the development of operational procedures and maintaining accurate incident records.
  • Work in a fast-paced operations environment, independently prioritizing competing issues, making sound decisions during live broadcasts.

Sports Broadcast Operations Center Technician III Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in broadcast operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting, Communications, Media, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Experience with digital audio editing, broadcast automation, quality control, digital routing, and live sports broadcast operations.
  • Familiarity with Zetta by RCS, digital audio routing, Audio over IP, broadcast signal flow, satellite and IP codecs, transport stream over IP, metadata management, broadcast monitoring, operational analytics, and incident management platforms such as ServiceNow.
  • Ability to interpret audio and metadata signal flows, troubleshoot broadcast outages, monitor system alarms and logs, and respond effectively to operational incidents.
  • Strong knowledge of major North American professional and collegiate sports and live sporting events.
  • Proficiency with Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and email applications.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, proofreading, problem-solving, time management, and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize multiple live events in a high-pressure environment.

Shift:
  • Thursday to Sunday, 4:00 pm to 12:00 am EST.
