This position is fully remote and allows counselors to work with clients across Florida through telehealth platforms. • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients’ trauma histories and develop tailored treatment approaches.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, resilience, and coping strategies.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.
• Lead individual and group therapy sessions designed to help clients process traumatic experiences and cultivate coping mechanisms.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for clients.
• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma incidents and emergencies to ensure client safety and well-being.
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources.
• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record systems.
• Participate in case consultations and team meetings to continuously enhance trauma-informed care practices.
• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy, incorporating new methodologies into practice.

• A master's or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to client interactions.
• Adeptness in utilizing electronic health record systems for documentation and administration purposes.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience providing mental health counseling, particularly in trauma-focused therapies.
