Position Overview

Touchstone Psychotherapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. This position is essential in providing supportive and effective therapeutic services aimed at addressing the diverse mental health needs of our clients. You will work closely with individuals, couples, families, and groups to identify their mental health challenges, develop tailored treatment plans, and implement evidence-based therapeutic strategies.

Work Environment

This position is remote, offering the flexibility to manage your schedule while advocating for mental health care through telehealth platforms. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health issues, using structured interviews and diagnostic tools to formulate clinical diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate the most effective therapeutic modalities based on each client's unique needs and objectives.
  • Provide therapy sessions to individuals, families, and groups, utilizing techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, and solution-focused therapy.
  • Deliver crisis intervention strategies for clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies, ensuring timely support and effective de-escalation tactics.
  • Maintain meticulous and secure records for all client interactions and treatment plans in compliance with ethical guidelines and privacy regulations.
  • Engage in collaborative case management with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to facilitate holistic care and support for clients.
  • Provide psychoeducation for clients and their families regarding mental health issues, treatment options, and pathways to community resources.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities such as training sessions, workshops, and peer consultations to enhance clinical skills and stay informed about best practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will center around a diverse clientele who may be dealing with a range of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and major life changes. Clients may come from various cultural backgrounds, bringing unique perspectives and needs, which you will be equipped to address through inclusive and culturally competent therapeutic practices.

Qualifications
  • Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW) in the state of Texas.
  • Possession of a Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in mental health counseling, with a preference for those with clinical expertise.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills to build strong therapeutic relationships.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a supportive interdisciplinary team.
