Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual, couples, and family therapy sessions through a secure telehealth platform while adhering to HIPAA compliance and privacy regulations.
• Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of clients
• Maintain minimal session documentation to prioritize direct client interaction, with the platform handling extensive paperwork.
• Screen and engage with new clients, assessing their needs and successfully building therapeutic rapport.
• Participate in ongoing training and supervision as necessary to ensure best practices in teletherapy are followed.
• Provide consistent, compassionate, and competent care while keeping abreast of trends in mental health and teletherapy best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on a diverse population within Illinois, serving both individuals and families encountering various mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions. Clients are carefully screened, ensuring they are stable and of low acuity, allowing for meaningful therapeutic engagement. The aim is to provide a supportive and encouraging environment that fosters client growth and recovery.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Holds a valid and active Illinois LMFT license with no disciplinary actions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a professional demeanor with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to create a dedicated, private space for conducting therapy sessions, maintaining confidentiality and comfort for clients.
• Proficiency with technology-related teletherapy platforms is a plus, as adapting to digital tools is essential for success in this role.

Preferred Experience

• Experience managing your own caseload, including developing treatment plans and adjusting them as necessary based on client progress.
• Experience in teletherapy or online counseling practices.
• Additional certifications or licenses, including dual or multi-state certifications, are highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time position, with a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 104,000 per year, dependent on experience and caseload capacity. We offer a significant sign-on bonus for therapists who begin seeing clients within the first two weeks of onboarding.
