We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic substance abuse treatment center, Gotham Enterprises Ltd., located in Waldorf, Maryland. This full-time remote position allows therapists to support individuals on their journey to recovery from addiction while offering flexible scheduling options, including evenings and weekends to better serve our clients.

The work setting is primarily remote, enabling mental health therapists to manage their time efficiently while maintaining client interactions via telehealth platforms. • Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' histories of substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders.
• Develop tailored treatment plans that address both addiction issues and underlying psychological factors, utilizing a variety of therapeutic methodologies.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, applying evidence-based strategies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing to engage clients in their recovery process.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care, ensuring that all aspects of the client’s needs are addressed through an integrated approach.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families, encouraging active participation in the recovery process and strengthening support systems.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of client progress in compliance with health regulations and organizational standards.

Our center primarily serves individuals grappling with substance use disorders, including those facing challenges with alcohol, opioids, and other drugs. We also address co-occurring mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression, which can complicate recovery. • Current, valid license as a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Certified (LCSW-C), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Demonstrated training or experience in addiction counseling, with a strong understanding of the challenges faced by individuals in recovery.
• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment practices for both substance abuse and co-occurring mental health conditions.
• Exceptional therapeutic skills with an ability to inspire, motivate, and build trust with clients.
• Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills, essential for working effectively in a multidisciplinary setting.

• Experience in providing telehealth services and familiarity with teletherapy platforms.
• Previous engagement in community outreach programs focusing on substance use disorders.
• Knowledge of local resources available to clients in Waldorf, Maryland, and surrounding areas.
