Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Program Scheduler to join their team. Duties include managing the development and maintenance of complex program schedules including resource loading and Earned Value Analysis. This position also supports the programs in developing plans and integrating inputs from all programs. Qualified candidates will interface with all elements of the program team to develop and support regular maintenance of the program IMS. This individual will perform schedule analysis in support of assigned programs and projects. Ensure major projects and program schedules and plans are integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality. Track plans and schedules, perform risk analysis, identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts. Utilize Critical path, Driving Path, Variance metrics, milestone charts, Earned Value Management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas. Ensure compliance with internal program procedures and project control system guidelines per DECM metrics.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop integrated master schedules (IMS) using SOW, and WBS.
  • Manage complex projects or processes with general oversight.
  • Create and track plans and schedules, perform risk analysis, and identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts.
  • Analysis and validation of program schedules through baseline maintenance including support Critical Path Analysis, Schedule Risk Analysis, and Schedule Metric Analysis such as BEI, CEI, CPLI, SPI, etc.
  • Implement and monitor Earned Value Management Systems on programs.
  • Communicate within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures and have responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization (e.g., customers, vendors, etc.) when necessary.
  • Ensure projects and program schedules and plans are integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with internal program procedures and project control system guidelines.
  • Explain, interpret, and gain cooperation on policies, procedures, and practices related to program scheduling.
  • Attend and lead scheduling status reviews and conduct briefings with senior leaders which requires ability to communicate matters of importance to the function or business area.
  • Contribute to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results.
  • Participate in schedule training, engineering, and program excellence organization.
  • Up to 20% business travel to other L3Harris sites.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior scheduling experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years prior scheduling experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related scheduling experience.
  • 3+ Years experience creating and/or maintaining an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and any Supporting Schedules on assigned projects/programs.
  • 3+ Years experience utilizing scheduling software, i.e. Microsoft Project.
  • 2+ Years experience creating and presenting project-level reports, presentations, and deliverables that reflect risk and status to program management and senior management relating to the IMS.

 

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Planning & Scheduling Excellence Guide (PASEG), Latest Version, EVMS Standard (EIA 748-D), Integrated Product and Process Development (IPPD), and Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR) strongly desired.
  • Monte Carlo Risk Analysis (Schedule Risk Analysis).
  • Agile Development methodologies associated with EVMS.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Attention to detail and quality of product deliverables.
  • Familiarity with scheduling ad-on tools such as OPDEC, Structured Solutions - SSI tools management, RiskyProject or similar scheduling support software.
  • Experience with cost and schedule integration software.
  • Experience in macro development.
  • Ability to work with a team and on their own.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $84,000.00- $156,000.00. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $73,000.00 - $135,000.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
