• Conducting comprehensive intake assessments to understand client issues and objectives, ensuring all pertinent financial and emotional commitments are communicated clearly.
• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans that reflect each client's unique situation and needs, with adaptability as therapy progresses.
• Utilizing different therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), talk therapy, and behavioral modeling to address clients' concerns and foster adaptive behaviors.
• Monitoring clients’ progress towards treatment goals, and adjusting therapeutic approaches based on their feedback and response.
• Facilitating a supportive environment that encourages self-reflection and the development of effective coping strategies.
• Working collaboratively with other health professionals, when necessary, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Down South Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse client base that includes individuals facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational issues. • A Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field.
• Current licensure to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Connecticut.
