Troy, NY
Fusco Personnel is recruiting for a proactive, detail-oriented engineer to join our client as a NOC Engineer, supporting the monitoring platform that keeps customer environments patched, protected, and running smoothly around the clock. Responsibilities:
  • Configure, monitor, and maintain all aspects of the remote monitoring and management platform.

  • Stay current on platform capabilities and roll out new features to improve efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Serve as the lead technical resource during the onboarding of new managed services clients.
  • Deploy monitoring agents and bring all client technical assets under full coverage.
  • Configure backup monitoring and confirm that all client backup activity is protected and alerting correctly.
  • Set up patch management and alerting policies aligned to documented maintenance windows.
  • Capture and document new client environments to support ongoing service delivery.
  • Complete all onboarding tasks accurately and within expected timeframes.
  • Ensure all client technical assets are monitored and that alerts route to the correct resource.
  • Ensure backup activity is monitored and alerts are routed appropriately.
  • Ensure patching and alerting reports are configured and routed correctly.
  • Update monitoring and alerting policies as requested by leadership or the client.
  • Build creative solutions — including scripting and automation — to cut down on repetitive service requests.
  • Develop self-healing routines that boost customer uptime and resolve recurring issues at the root cause.
  • Help create and maintain technical documentation of customer networks and systems.
  • Set daily priorities and respond promptly to customer requests.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, peers, and leadership.
  • Document all activity thoroughly for billing and reference purposes.
  • Represent the company professionally in every interaction.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company and customer information.
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Windows System Administration experience, including PowerShell scripting and GPO deployment.
  • Scripting, development, or workload automation experience, with the ability to build solutions that reduce manual effort and service requests.
  • Experience configuring and maintaining a modern remote monitoring and management platform (e.g., NinjaOne, N-Central, Kaseya VSA, or similar).
  • Experience with professional services automation tools or ticketing systems (e.g., Autotask, ConnectWise, or similar).
  • Proficiency with patch management across servers, workstations, and third-party products.
  • Experience with IP network design and architecture.
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A proactive, do-whatever-it-takes attitude and comfort working in a fast-paced operations environment.
  • A track record of reducing reactive workload through automation and process improvement.
Status: Full-time
Salary: $75K – 105K, plus benefits.
