The ideal architect has a strong background in cloud strategy, infrastructure design, DevOps automation, and modern cloud-native patterns.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture & Strategy
  • Lead the end-to-end architecture of cloud solutions leveraging AWS CDK (TypeScript/Python).
  • Define cloud architecture standards, reusable patterns, reference architectures, and best practices.
  • Drive modernization efforts, including serverless, containerized, and event-driven architectures.
  • Guide infrastructure decisions related to scalability, availability, resiliency, and cost.
Infrastructure-as-Code & Automation
  • Architect and oversee development of IaC using AWS CDK at scale.
  • Establish governance for multi-account infrastructure (landing zones, security baselines).
  • Implement fully automated CI/CD workflows using tools like CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
  • Define security, compliance, tagging, and monitoring standards across all IaC artifacts.
Deep AWS Expertise
Architect solutions using advanced AWS services such as:
  • Compute: Lambda, ECS, EC2
  • Networking: VPC, Subnets, Transit Gateways, Security Groups, Route53
  • Storage & Content Delivery: S3, CloudFront
  • API & Integration: API Gateway, EventBridge, SNS/SQS
  • Data: DynamoDB, RDS
  • Security & Monitoring: IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, CloudWatch
Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural oversight to DevOps and platform teams.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and deliver architectural guidance.
Documentation & Governance
  • Produce high-quality architecture diagrams, design documents, and operational standards.
  • Ensure systems meet compliance, security, and cost-optimization requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or cloud architecture roles.
  • Expert-level proficiency with AWS CDK and IaC patterns.
  • Strong technical background in TypeScript or Python for infrastructure automation.
  • Demonstrated experience architecting systems across multiple AWS services and domains.
  • Knowledge of IaC ecosystems (CloudFormation, Terraform) with CDK as primary tool.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, cost management, and operational excellence.
  • Experience designing CI/CD pipelines and container solutions (Docker, ECR, ECS).
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while driving architectural vision.
