Job description

Work arrangement: Remote within the United States, with potential international travel
Engagement: Contingent, part-time/on-call specialist
Anticipated compensation: $150–$300 per hour, depending on qualifications and assignment, or a negotiated fixed price by work package. $300 per hour is the maximum anticipated rate.

Opportunity

Axyde Analytics is assembling a multidisciplinary expert team for anticipated U.S. government-funded project-scoping assignments involving critical minerals and international infrastructure.

We seek specialists capable of evaluating uranium resources, mining and recovery, nuclear-material supply chains, radioactive or naturally occurring radioactive material, radiological protection, waste management and related regulatory risks.

Potential assignments may involve conventional uranium mines, in-situ recovery, uranium or thorium associated with rare-earth and heavy-mineral projects, phosphate byproducts, mineral-processing residues, nuclear-grade zirconium or other radiologically significant materials.

Axyde does not expect one candidate to cover every technical and regulatory discipline. Applicants should identify the materials, facilities and radiological-risk areas in which they possess direct, demonstrable expertise.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

  • At least 7–10 years of directly relevant uranium, nuclear-material, radiological-protection, NORM or radioactive-waste experience.

  • A degree in geology, mining engineering, nuclear engineering, health physics, radiological engineering, metallurgy, chemical engineering, hydrogeology or a closely related field.

  • Direct responsibility for identifiable uranium, nuclear-material, rare-earth, mineral-sands, phosphate, remediation or radiological-risk projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to connect resource or feed characteristics, process design, radiological exposure, waste management, regulation, cost and implementation risk.

  • Knowledge of recognized radiation-protection, nuclear-material or radioactive-waste practices applicable to the candidate’s specialty.

  • Strong written and verbal English-language communication skills.

  • Ability to prepare concise, decision-oriented technical work.

  • Ability to collaborate across geology, processing, environmental, safety, regulatory, commercial and financial disciplines.

  • Either U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent-resident status in the United States.

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally when an assignment requires it.
