Job description
As a Retail Area Sales Manager - Enterprise Sales, you will play a critical role in driving growth across Owens Corning's retail channel by supporting sales execution, product adoption, and customer engagement within your assigned region. In this role, you will serve as a product and program expert, working closely with retail stores, contractors, remodelers, and internal partners to deliver sales growth and strengthen Owens Corning's market position.
You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Retail partners, and store associates to increase product awareness, drive sell-through, support training initiatives, and identify opportunities for profitable growth. Success in this role requires strong relationship-building skills, sales expertise, analytical thinking, and a passion for helping customers grow their businesses.
POSITION LOCATION: Greater Atlanta, GA (30-40% Travel)
What You Will Be Doing:
- Develop and execute regional sales growth strategies in partnership with the Regional Sales Leader and Channel Marketing teams.
- Drive sales growth and market share expansion across Owens Corning's Enterprise product portfolio.
- Build strong relationships with retail store leadership, Pro Desk teams, Millwork departments, Building Materials associates, contractors, and remodelers.
- Lead in-store activities that increase product awareness, drive sell-through, and support successful product launches, promotions, and special programs.
- Identify and develop opportunities with contractors and remodelers to generate incremental sales volume and regional growth.
- Quote, negotiate, and close large-volume opportunities that drive sales and profitability within the territory.
- Support growth within Millwork, Installed Sales, Building Materials, and Pro channels through presentations, training, analytics, and customer engagement.
- Utilize sales data and market insights to identify mix optimization opportunities and drive profitable product sales.
- Promote upselling and product mix strategies that improve margin performance and overall business results.
- Ensure merchandising, planogram, and retail execution standards are maintained throughout the assigned region.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to support product training, education, and field execution activities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for customers, helping resolve product, warranty, and quality-related concerns.
- Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and Customer Support teams to support timely issue resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and work with leadership to enhance sales effectiveness and customer experience.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify opportunities for growth and business development.
- Support the development of team capabilities through coaching, training, and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Area Sales Manager or similar customer-facing sales role.
- Experience developing customer relationships and driving sales growth.
- Proven ability to identify, develop, and close sales opportunities.
- Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience utilizing sales data and market insights to support business decisions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships and influence decision-making.
- Strong organizational and territory management skills.
- Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned region.

- Building materials, construction products, home improvement, or related industry experience.
- Experience working with retail partners, contractors, remodelers, distributors, or dealer networks.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or influencing others to achieve business objectives.
- Experience supporting new product launches and market development initiatives.
