Job description

Introduction
The Department of Corrections is focused on public safety through the custody and supervision of those in our care. The Department of Corrections Bureau of Correctional Enterprises is currently recruiting to filla Correctional Enterprises Specialist- Senior (Dairy Specialist) position. This position is located atthe Waupun Dairy in Waupun, WI.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Bureau of Correctional Enterprises (BCE) Waupun Dairy. This position will supervise and instruct BCE Workers in the processing of raw milk and other ingredients to make Waupun Dairy products. This position will also p erform maintenance on machines, maintain sanitation, maintain safety/security of the operation and be responsible for record keeping.
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule and range 03-14 with a starting pay of $28.11 per hour.
Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period of one year is required.

Job Details
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application.
The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency of employment.
The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
This position is not eligible for remote work.
Shift: Monday- Friday 6:00am- 2:00pm
Qualifications
Minimally qualified applicants will have experience:
  • Producing pasteurized milk products/food production
  • Inspecting dairy equipment/food service equipment
  • Leading and/or overseeing the work of others (e.g. training, coaching, mentoring, assigning duties, reviewing work, etc.)
Special Requirements:
  • Must possess a Class B CDL license
  • Must possess a valid driver's license at time of hire and meet State of Wisconsin fleet requirements
  • Must possess Pasteurization Certification within 6 months of employment
  • Must possess Drug Residue Certifications within 6 months of employment (APPENDIX N)
  • Must possess Weigh Hauler and Samplers License within 6 months of employment
  • Must possess CDL with tanker endorsement within 6 months of employment
