Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing you to provide care from the comfort of your home while maintaining a work-life balance. Our outpatient office setting ensures that you will engage with clients primarily through telehealth platforms, enabling flexibility and access to a wider range of clients across San Bernardino and beyond. We leverage advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline documentation and client interactions, ensuring you can focus more on care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and regular check-ins to evaluate the mental health status and therapeutic progress of patients.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client, integrating evidence-based practices.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust therapeutic strategies to enhance treatment effectiveness and achieve positive outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers and medical professionals, to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
• Educate clients and their families on effective coping strategies for managing stress, trauma, and emotional challenges.
• Participate in ongoing professional development through continuing education courses to maintain licensure and gain exposure to the latest therapeutic techniques.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in adherence to applicable legal and ethical standards.
• Provide resources and referrals as needed to help clients and their families access additional support and services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Gentle Mind Counseling Services, you will work with a diverse population, including individuals and families facing a range of challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma. Your expertise will empower clients to navigate their emotional journeys, fostering resilience and promoting mental well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Must hold a valid and active LMFT license in the State of California.
• Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written, to provide clear documentation and effective therapy sessions.
• Strong ability to utilize technology, particularly Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage a full caseload and adhere to timelines for documentation and patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Salesforce or other case management software is a significant advantage.
• Prior experience in telehealth service delivery, providing therapy and counseling remotely.
• A background working within community-based settings, focusing on outpatient services, is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary range of USD 52,000 to 70,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
