Key Responsibilities

Your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor involves a variety of responsibilities designed to support patient wellness and recovery:

  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention to patients experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges, utilizing evidence-based treatment methods.
  • Assist clients with discharge planning and care coordination, ensuring they have access to necessary services throughout the region.
  • Consult and engage with clients' families or support systems to discuss treatment plans and facilitate successful discharge transitions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must possess:

  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
  • Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or equivalent, demonstrating your capability to practice independently.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in an outpatient setting, with a proven track record of delivering effective mental health services.
  • Strong ability to work autonomously, demonstrating self-direction and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience with telehealth platforms and a background in applied evidence-based treatment modalities will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Familiarity with community resources and crisis intervention strategies is also a plus.
