'Remote' means they work from a location outside of the employer's office, often from home or another remote location. These developers are proficient in designing, developing, and maintaining web applications, ensuring seamless integration between client-side and server-side logic. They also collaborate with teams using cloud services like Azure and tools like Visual Studio. What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote Microsoft full stack developer?

To thrive as a Remote Microsoft Full Stack Developer, you need strong proficiency in both front-end (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React or Angular) and back-end (e.g., C#, .NET, SQL Server) Microsoft technologies, along with a relevant degree or equivalent experience. Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, version control systems such as Git, and certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate are highly valuable. Excellent problem-solving, remote collaboration, and communication skills help you deliver projects efficiently and work effectively within distributed teams. These skills and qualifications are crucial for building robust, scalable solutions and ensuring seamless teamwork in a remote development environment.

How do remote Microsoft full stack developers typically collaborate with distributed teams and ensure project alignment?

Remote Microsoft Full Stack Developers frequently use collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams, Azure DevOps, and GitHub to communicate with team members, track progress, and align on project goals. Regular virtual stand-up meetings, code reviews, and shared documentation help maintain transparency and synchronize workflows. Effective time management and proactive communication are essential, as teams may span multiple time zones. Developers are encouraged to ask questions, participate in planning sessions, and leverage shared repositories to stay connected and productive.

RentEngine makes it faster, easier, and cheaper. Hundreds of leasing teams in 40 states rely on RentEngine every day.
We launched in 2025 and are growing by 15%/month with a lean team. We ship new features daily and announce weekly (rentengine.io/blog)
Now we're hiring to build even faster.
This is a high-growth, high-ownership startup. Everybody is an individual contributor, there are no middle managers or bureaucracy. You'll learn quick and get as much responsibility as you can handle. We look for 3 key traits:
  • Agency: do you push the limits of what's possible and don't wait for permission
  • Curiosity: are you eager to learn (from teammates, customers, and the world)
  • Attention to detail: can you be proud of the work you create

If you align with our mission, keep reading and see if you're a fit.
What we're looking for
  • Full-stack engineer with 5+ years of experience.
  • Enjoys front-end work and is an expert with React, but still dangerous in backend.
  • Balances the perfect solution with what works well enough but can deploy today
  • Thrives in environments with ambiguity and experimentation
What you can expect / What you will do
  • Ship A- product at A+ timeline. Know how to come back and turn the A- product into an A+ product
  • High ownership, accountability & drive: Understand the product requirements, come up with fitting solutions, and test your own code to make sure it solves the problem
  • Define and own solutions to large and complex systems, from the database to the UI
  • Build products for the ops team & directly for our customers and users
Our Stack
  • Serverless NextJS (hosted on Vercel)
  • React
  • Postgres / Supabase
  • AWS
Location / Timezone
  • Fully remote
  • All of our work happens in American timezones
Compensation
  • $150-$180k base salary (location adjusted)
  • Meaningful equity
  • Employer-sponsored health insurance for US employees
  • Unlimited PTO (we work very hard, but unplugged time-off is just as important)
