Position Overview
Maricopa County is seeking an IT Data Analyst II to provide analytical and operational support for data-related projects within the Public Fiduciary.
The analyst will work with information from multiple databases, spreadsheets, case management systems, reports, and other data sources to analyze, validate, organize, and improve data quality and integrity. The role requires strong analytical thinking, database analysis, Excel expertise, and the ability to identify patterns, inconsistencies, anomalies, and data-quality issues.
The ideal candidate will have experience with database administration, database analysis, data management, system improvement projects, and project management.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze, review, and validate data across databases, spreadsheets, reports, and case management systems.
  • Investigate data discrepancies, anomalies, missing information, and data-quality issues.
  • Analyze large datasets using Microsoft Excel and other available tools.
  • Use formulas, filtering, sorting, lookups, and PivotTables to manipulate and analyze data.
  • Maintain spreadsheets, reports, tracking tools, queries, and data-quality monitoring processes.
  • Update and maintain information within case management systems and databases.
  • Support data projects by gathering requirements and determining appropriate analytical approaches.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews to identify recurring data issues and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Document analytical methods, findings, data limitations, discrepancies, and completed work.
  • Identify patterns, outliers, inconsistencies, and potential data integrity issues.
