We are seeking a Compensation Analyst to support the design, administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of Teradyne's global compensation programs. This role will partner across HR and the business to deliver compensation insights, market analysis, and data-driven recommendations that support organizational objectives.

In this role, you will combine compensation expertise, advanced analytics, automation, and business consultation to help improve the effectiveness, accuracy, and scalability of compensation processes.

  • Conduct market pricing analyses using compensation survey data, including Radford, Mercer, Comptryx, and other market intelligence sources.
  • Analyze salary structures, pay equity, geographic differentials, and overall compensation competitiveness.
  • Support annual compensation programs, including merit planning, promotions, bonus administration, equity programs, and salary structure development.
  • Support job evaluation, market alignment, job architecture, and leveling initiatives.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, models, and decision-support tools that provide actionable workforce and compensation insights.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders on global compensation matters, including offers, promotions, retention cases, internal equity concerns, organizational changes, and market competitiveness.
  • Leverage advanced Excel, automation solutions, and AI-enabled tools to streamline compensation processes, reporting, survey matching, job evaluation, and documentation.
  • Ensure compensation data integrity through strong governance, validation, audit, and confidentiality practices.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by translating complex compensation analyses into clear and actionable guidance.
  • Evaluate complex compensation situations and exercise independent judgment to develop practical, data-driven recommendations aligned with company compensation philosophy, external competitiveness, and business objectives.
  • Communicate compensation concepts and confidently present and defend recommendations with HR and business leaders, including in high-visibility situations.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive compensation experience.
  • Experience supporting global compensation programs.
  • Strong understanding of compensation principles, market pricing methodologies, salary structures, and compensation program administration.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including complex formulas, data analysis, modeling, reporting, and automation.
  • Ability to analyze large, complex datasets and translate business questions into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Experience building dashboards, analytical models, reports, and decision-support tools that drive business decisions.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex compensation concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to build credibility and partner effectively with HR Business Partners, Field HR, and managers.
  • Strong judgment, attention to detail, accountability, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with interest in automation, AI-enabled technologies, process improvement, and emerging tools.
  • Preferred: Certified Compensation Professional certification or progress toward certification.
  • Preferred: Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or similar HRIS platforms.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting job architecture and leveling frameworks.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of pay transparency, pay equity, and related regulatory requirements.
  • Preferred: Experience using AI tools and automation solutions to improve business processes.

This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Compensation: The base salary range for this role is $94,400-151,000. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications.

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
